The people

Being a Region, it therefore provides strong contrasts which have profoundly influenced its inhabitants: They are strong, tempered to difficulty and doted with an uncommon sense to adapt. Adversely, they do not resist against domination or natural disasters.

Along with that, there still today remains a love of the earth, tolerance, hospitality, pride, strength, a love of tradition and for a simple but tasty and genuine meal.

Who lives in Calabria often fails to notice what lies immediately around them, and remains astonished when standing in front of the Ionian Sea, always crystal clear; The Bronze of Riace; The Sila Mountains, the wine, the exquisite food from a very much alive tradition, the nature, the art and the hospitality of the Calabrese.
